ArtBeadScene sends inspiration from Japan!

When I opened the email this morning from ArtBeadScene I saw a beautiful painting of an owl in all its glory. I love owls and birds depicted in art which is why I often use owls in my art. Then my mind went to a pendant I created a while ago using those wooden cut-outs. The cut-out is of a cage and I made the birds securely in love in the cage. Using stamps and copper foil I made the background and apposed the cut-out on top. The piece is then sealed with more clay and a water-based varnish that gives it a beautiful shine. The words "I love you so" are printed on the back of the pendant.
I think it fits the October Challenge theme quite well.
